Why does India worship cows more than humans?

Hello, you may not know that India is the holy land of cows, everywhere in every cave and alley, from the capital to every household, cows are as close as family members. Unlike monkeys who are often disruptive, cows always live leisurely, slow and carefree like Indians. There are cows that can wear clothes and have normal houses, they live freely, eat and sleep, discharge anywhere. Cows in India when they go out on the street, everyone has to give way, cows are also the cause of countless traffic jams when they are excited to lie in the middle of the road. In India, cows walk freely in the street and if you are not careful, you will shove the cow to death, you will be sentenced to prison for murder.

Indians not only abstain from eating beef but also do not use utensils made of cowhide, tourists are not allowed to eat beef when traveling in India, giving a gift made of cowhide is taboo, should not carry any bag in the style of cowhide violates the beliefs of the people of this country, avoid carrying items made from leather.

Eating food made from cows or wearing clothes colored with cow hair is a taboo, but using cow's milk is possible, you should never chase or anger a cow on the street because doing so will violate taboo. So why is the cow so respected and protected in India? Even cows are valued more than humans because assuming a cow and a person fight, of course the person will be punished, and cows are treated and apologized, why? The answer is Hinduism.

India is a country with many religions but Hindu is the largest religion accounting for nearly 900 million people and 95% of the Hindus on this earth come from India. With the Hindu community, especially the Brahmin branch, they worship the cow as their god. They don't eat beef, even likened the beauty of a young woman's eyes to a cow's eye, so if you fall in love with a guy from India and he says, "Your eyes are as beautiful as a cow's" then You also don't get angry and punch him in the mouth because the truth is that he is saying very sincere words.

Since ancient times, the community here has considered the cow as their ancestor. Hindus consider cows to be mascots but Buffaloes do not, many people consider beef to be the number one food, while in India on the contrary, no one dares to eat beef because it is blasphemous.

In particular, they will use cow waste such as urine and feces to treat diseases, which is considered the elixir to cure all diseases in the world from colds to cancer and even Covid. As you can see during the recent Covid pandemic, many Hindus were determined to bathe in cow urine to cure their Covid, but how effective their magic potion is you probably have your own answer.

Many Indians have a great devotion to the cow. In the Hindu Vedas, the cow symbolizes abundance and fertility because the cow in Indian belief represents both the earth and the sky, and is even considered the embodiment of Vishnu, the god who protects people and things. With such a belief, touching the cow will naturally not be protected by the god, so no one will ever touch the cows. In Indian funerals, the cow also appears as a means to guide the deceased to heaven.

Because cows are considered the most sacred of the animals of Hinduism, all parts of the cow's body carry religious significance. Its four legs represent the four Vedas, its nipples represent the four basic elements including law, wealth, desire, and deliverance, its horns represent the gods, its face represents the sun and moon, its shoulders represent the fire god Agni and its back represents the mighty Himalayas.

Referring to the cow god, according to Indian culture, we cannot help but mention the god Nandin, this is a white bull, the vehicle of the god Shiva, one of the three supreme gods in Hinduism. Almost all Shiva temples display stone statues of a sitting Nandin usually facing the main shrine.

The white color of the bull symbolizes purity and justice. For many Hindus, feeding cows is a way to please the gods and make wishes come true, if someone wants to be happy they often grab the cow by the tail and let it touch its head.

At this point, you have understood why cows are so respected and worshiped in Indian culture, especially for the Hindus, the cow is not only a mascot but it is also considered a deity with some Hindu branches.

As you can see, beef is very tasty and quite expensive, not to mention that we often curse each other saying "Stupid like cows", which is an insult because it means cows are stupid. But even so, we do not have any bad luck in life, proving that cow worship is just an unrealistic spiritual belief. What Knowledge Interesting wants to tell you is to live and do the right things, and at the same time try hard, good things will come to you, and no matter what you believe, if you live impure and then there will be a day of retribution.
